On January 1, 2011, 15 roses were placed on the Donate Life Seize the Day! Rose Parade float by Heartland Lions Eye Banks to celebrate the lives of eye and tissue donors from its service area and to recognize cornea recipients who have been blessed with the gift of sight.

This November, Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) launched the new First-Person Consent Organ and Tissue Donor Registry for the state of Kansas!

Hundreds of rock fans listened to some great music and learned more about organ and tissue donation at this year’s KHITS Rock N’ CholesteROLL event.

Thanks to a generous donation from Procter & Gamble and KHITS, Donate Life Missouri team members Heartland Lions Eye Banks and Mid-America Transplant Services hosted a donor registry drive before showtime.

This summer, Kansas launched its new first-person consent organ and tissue donor registry. To help promote this important milestone in organ donor awareness, Heartland Lions Eye Banks and the Kansas Lions partnered to spread the word at this year’s Kansas State Fair.
