Columbia Business Owner Benefits From Vision Saving Transplant
For years, Jerome lived with Keratoconus, a condition
in which the normally round cornea becomes thin and cone-shaped. However,
as he reached his early thirties, his condition worsened causing blurry
vision and sensitivity to light.
In 1998, Jerome received a cornea transplant to correct his vision from
the progressing disorder. Since his transplant, he has been able to resume
living an active lifestyle and running his own small business in Columbia. |
