Jachin Misko
Jachin Misko, Heartland Lions Eye Banks’ Technical Director, ensures our eye bank technicians follow the most stringent guidelines in the industry to offer surgeons and their patients the safest, highest-quality corneal tissue.

In his role, Jachin directs, orchestrates and oversees the technical processes that facilitate the recovery, screening, processing and distribution of eye tissue at each Eye Bank branch. He ensures technical operations are performed according to FDA regulations, EBAA medical standards and Eye Bank standard operating procedures.

Jachin, a Certified Eye Bank Technician, joined the Eye Bank in 2005 and has served as both an Eye Bank Technician and Technical Specialist, evaluating and processing tissue for Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK). He received his degree in mathematics and computer science from Central Missouri State University and has completed additional studies in biology and chemistry at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Outside of work, Jachin is a big music fan and loves going to concerts and playing guitar. He also enjoys biking, playing tennis and skiing. A self-proclaimed technophile, Jachin can be found building and upgrading computers.
